The Perimeter app is an easy way to calculate the area of your block, backyard, local park or a field. Simply start the app, walk around the perimeter of the area, drop markers on the corners and press the calculate button.
Calculates area in Square Feet, Square Yards, Hectares and Acres. Perimeter distance is now also in Miles

Used it to measure our fields on the farm work great. Might have been out by 1-2 acres but is a good estimate.

Not functional for small distances
Tried to use this to reinforce the concept of area and perimeter in a household and it does not compute small distances.

Complete waste of time. I tried to map out my yard and you cant reduce the map enough.

Good but...
I would give this app five stars if it had a manual option for placing pins. Using the current location on the map does not work with small perimeters or areas.
